What is the Chrysler Airflow?
Posted on June 30, 2022
Every automaker is heading towards a goal of a fully electric lineup with the world’s governments working to make it mandatory in the next decade or two. Chrysler is no exception and based on their concept for the Airflow (due out in late 2024 or 2025), they are poised to lead the competition.
Much of what has been revealed about the Airflow isn’t confirmed yet because production hasn’t started yet, but we can’t help but get excited anyway. We do know it will be a crossover, with plenty of room for passengers and cargo. Making it a strong competitor
Range is a major factor for most people looking at EVs. According to Car & Driver, Chrysler has revealed that with their new battery tech the range could be up to 400 miles (almost 650 Kms) on a single charge. Impressive for a crossover style vehicle.
The design is a completely new concept and not just a take on current Chrysler models. The parent company, Stellantis, is working on an overhaul of several production plants, giving the Airflow a chance to be produced at state-of-the-art facilities designed specifically for EV production.
The concept boasts dual-motors for all-wheel drive as an option with a single-motor being standard. The interior is roomy as is to be expected from a crossover and appears to have several display screens in both the front and rear of the vehicle.
Overall, the car looks sleek and elegant. We also love to see an EV that looks like it can handle the weather and road conditions here in Ontario, and this one checks a lot of boxes.
