New 2014 Jeep Wrangler Trim Levels
2014 Jeep Wrangler Review
For Sale @ Unique Chrysler Burlington (between Hamilton & Oakville)
The Jeep Wrangler has more heritage than just about any other off roader in the world. It's a solid performer on and off the road, has road manners, good looks, decent levels of technology and a fun factor that's hard to ignore.
New for 2014 is the Wrangler Freedom III and Rubicon X and the inclusion of Pentastar power.
The styling has changed only subtly over the past few years and for good reason. If something works, don't fix it. The signature front end with its seven bare grille, round headlights and wheel arches all mark it out as a Jeep and as a Wrangler. Why change that?
Somehow, Jeep have managed to offer enough improvements and refinements over the years to keep people interested, while also staying true to the brand. That must have been hard to do, but done it they have. The iconic shape and feel of the 2014 Jeep Wrangler is timeless!
The same could be said for the interior. While we have seen many improvements in layout, materials, noise cancellation and technology, the spirit of the Jeep remains. The chunky styling is no-nonsense and offers a reassurance that wherever you go, whatever the weather, you're going to get there in reasonable comfort. That's what you want from an off-roader and that's what you get from the 2014 Jeep Wrangler.
Under the hood sees the biggest change. Out is the heavy 3.8-liter V6 and in is the very capable Pentastar V6. The new 3.6-liter motor is lighter, more capable, more powerful and more efficient than the outgoing engine, making it the perfect upgrade for this vehicle. It produces 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a Mercedes-Benz-sourced five-speed automatic transmission.
The 2014 Jeep Wrangler has four trim levels, Sport, Sport S, Sahara and Rubicon.
The Wrangler Sport offers 16 inch steel wheels, cruise control, iPod interface and steering wheel audio controls. The Sport S adds air conditioning, power accessories, 17 inch wheels, remote entry, heated mirrors and a leather steering wheel.
The Wrangler Sahara adds 18 inch wheels, body coloured exterior trim, side steps, gas shocks, auto lighting, power outlet and a seven-speaker audio system. Rubicon adds a Rock-Trac performance suspension, rock rails, heavy duty transfer case, electronic sway bar disconnect and 32 inch off-road tires.
The 2014 Jeep Wrangler is a heritage brand that can still hold its own against the competition. It's untouchable off-road and pretty good on the road too. With the new Pentastar engine performance and gas mileage have improved across the board too.
